MCD not allotting land for a Safal booth in Chandni Chowk area despite requests by Mother Dairy to allot land adjoining Mother dairy booth number 502

There is no Safal market-outlet to sell vegetables in Chandni Chowk area of Delhi. Mother Dairy surveyed and pin-pointed a vacant piece of land adjoining Mother Dairy booth number 502 requesting Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) vide its letter dated 20.02.2025 (copy attached) for immediate allot the selected piece of land for opening a Safal booth to sell vegetables and other items at very economical price.

Safal Coconut-Water bottles (200 mls) with MRP rupees 55 are available at Safal booths at just rupees 30 while one-lire bottles of Safal Coconut-Water with MRP are available at Safal booths at just rupees 121. Likewise A-grade cauliflower is priced presently in non-peak season at Safal booths at rupees 79 per kg vegetable-vendors sell it around rupees 120 per kg. Even rate of cauliflower in wholesale vegetable-market of Daryaganj is minimum rupees 100 per kg. A-grade okra is priced at Safal-booth at just rupees 39 per kg, while it is priced with vegetable-vendors in this are at rupees 80 per kg.

Concerned MCD Deputy Commissioner (Land and Estate) Shri Sumit (Mobile-number 8903762571) should most urgently allot the land to Mother dairy for opening Safal booth in the auspicious coming Navratras in October 2026. At least foundation-stone laying ceremony should be during coming Navratras. In case land suggested by Mother dairy for the purpose may not be technically feasible for allotment, land should be allotted nearby booth of Delhi Milk Scheme.
