TPL: Tennis goes grassroots

Kia India has expanded its partnership with the Tennis Premier League (TPL) by becoming the principal partner of all the eight franchises in a new multi-year agreement.

All the eight franchises will also organise a free two-day tennis camp in their respective home cities for players between the age of 10 to 18. The camps will be led by experienced coaches and  fitness experts, sports nutritionist, physiotherapy and sports psychology to help young players improve their game in every possible way. In total, the initiative will provide 16 days of grassroots tennis training across eight cities.

The TPL, which is supported by the Leander Paes and Sania Mirza, has become one of India’s leading franchise-based tennis competitions.

The eight franchise are –

• Gurgaon Grand Slammers

• Lucknow Blazers

• Hyderabad Strikers

• GS Delhi Aces

• Gujarat Panthers

• Kolkata Thunder Blades

• Mumbai Royals

• Rajasthan Rangers
