Ishan Kishan will lead East Zone, while Vaibhav Sooryavanshi will be his deputy, as East Zone named their squad for the 2026-27 Duleep Trophy.
The squad features a mix of experienced players and emerging talent.
Veteran pacer Mohammed Shami is in the East Zone set-up, while Bengal opener Abhimanyu Easwaran, all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed, and fast bowler Mukesh Kumar have also been selected.
Jharkhand have five players in the squad, with Ishan being joined by Kumar Kushagra, Shikhar Mohan, Anukul Roy, and Virat Singh. Bengal have six players in the squad, while Odisha’s Subhranshu Senapati, Assam’s Denish Das, Tripura’s Abhijit Sarkar and Bihar’s Sooryavanshi complete the group.
The selectors have also announced a five-member stand-by list comprising Ayush Loharuka (Bihar), Sridam Paul (Tripura), Sambit S. Baral and Swastik Samal (Odisha), and Sharandeep Singh (Jharkhand).
