Kasaragod: A 25-year-old man died after his motorcycle collided head-on with a private school bus at Povval Mastikund near Bovikkan on Thursday morning.
Shammas Abdullah dies on the spot
The deceased has been identified as Shammas Abdullah (25), a resident of Galimukha on the Kerala-Karnataka border.
Shammas, who ran a juice shop in Kozhikode, was returning to his native place on his motorcycle at around 8.30 am. When he reached Mastikund, his motorcycle reportedly collided with a private school bus travelling in the opposite direction.
He sustained serious head injuries in the collision and died at the spot.
Had recently married
Shammas had previously worked in Saudi Arabia before returning to pursue his business in Kozhikode.
He had married Fatima, a resident of Mogral, only a few months ago.
The accident has left his family and relatives mourning the sudden loss of the young man.
Adhur police register case
The Adhur police have registered a case in connection with the accident.
