Vice President Radhakrishnan stated that every page of the Constitution of India reflects the soul of the nation, capturing its civilisational wisdom, democratic spirit, and collective aspirations. Speaking at a Constitution Day event, he highlighted that the document stands as a powerful symbol of unity, justice, and equality for all citizens.
He noted that the Constitution not only outlines the framework for governance but also embodies the ideals that have shaped India’s journey as a diverse and vibrant democracy. According to him, the values enshrined by the framers continue to guide the nation through challenges and opportunities, reinforcing the importance of constitutional morality.
The Vice President emphasized that citizens must remain committed to safeguarding constitutional principles, as they serve as the foundation for protecting rights, ensuring social harmony, and promoting balanced development. He also underlined the role of institutions in upholding the rule of law and maintaining public trust in democratic processes.
