Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) Unveils FY 2024–25 CSR Report — Impacting 42.46 Lakh Lives

Published:

On August 5, 2025, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) officially launched its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report for FY 2024–25. Environmentalist and filmmaker Suresh Heblikar presided over the launch, alongside senior TKM leadership including Mr. Ramesh Rao, Vice President of External Affairs & CSR.

The report reveals that as of March 31, 2025, TKM’s initiatives have impacted over 42.46 lakh people across India.

Core Pillars of CSR Intervention

TKM’s CSR strategy is structured around six pillars, each designed to build inclusive, resilient communities:

  • Education: Enhanced school infrastructure in aspirational districts of Karnataka; digital and STEM-aligned facilities benefited 4,222 students. The Anganwadi Development Program supported over 10,000 children, and educational outreach included 68,553 students in Raichur and Vijayapura.
  • Health & Hygiene: Upgraded primary health centres in Ramanagara and Raichur, improving healthcare access for more than 5.68 lakh people. The “ABCD” (A Behavioural Change Demonstration) sanitation initiative reached over 10,000 students, earning recognition under the Swachh Bharat category at the CSR Times Awards.
  • Environment, Skill Development, Road Safety, and Disaster Management: Additional interventions under these pillars extended the CSR’s reach—though not detailed in numbers, they form a key part of TKM’s comprehensive strategy.
  • Employee Volunteering – iCARE: The iCARE initiative saw participation from 732 employees and their families, directly impacting over 4,200 individuals through various community-centered activities.
  • Disaster Relief: During the landslide emergency in Aizawl, TKM deployed heavy-duty equipment, aiding approximately 4.65 lakh people in relief efforts.

Voices from the Launch

Suresh Heblikar lauded TKM, stating:

“TKM’s approach is a powerful example of industry’s role in shaping an equitable and empowered society… their efforts complement national missions such as Viksit Bharat 2047 and Skill India. Activities promoting rural ecosystems through tree planting are particularly commendable.”

Sudeep Dalvi, CCO & SVP, remarked:

“Our CSR commitment goes beyond business… each initiative—from education and health to environment and skill development—is a step toward building a stronger, self-reliant India… we remain steadfast in our mission to contribute meaningfully to society and create mobility for all.”
