National conclave at Constitution Club of India to focus on ethical journalism, AI, digital governance and the future of India’s digital media ecosystem.
NEW DELHI: The Ramakrishna Parmahansa Foundation (RPF), in association with the Journalist and Media Association (JMA) and under the patronage of the Journalist & Media Association Governing Council (JMAGC), has announced the Swami Vivekananda Digital Journalism Conclave & Awards 2026, a major national initiative aimed at shaping the future of India’s digital media landscape.
The conclave will be held at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi, and is expected to bring together leading journalists, editors, policymakers, legal experts, technology innovators, academicians, communication professionals, digital publishers, entrepreneurs, corporate leaders and journalism students from across the country.
With the theme, “Building a Responsible, Ethical & Future-Ready Digital Media Ecosystem through Law, Technology, Innovation & Self-Regulation,” the event will address the rapidly evolving challenges and opportunities in digital journalism, including artificial intelligence, misinformation, cyber laws, fact-checking, data privacy and changing audience behaviour.
The organisers said the conclave aims to create a collaborative platform for discussions on strengthening ethical journalism, promoting responsible innovation and enhancing institutional cooperation to build a transparent, credible and sustainable digital news ecosystem.
One of the highlights of the event will be the presence of Shri Subhash Chandra Agrawal, internationally acclaimed RTI activist, social reformer and Guinness World Records holder, who will attend the programme as the Guest of Honour. Widely recognised for his contribution to the Right to Information movement, Agrawal has played a significant role in promoting transparency, accountability and citizen empowerment in India.
The day-long conclave will feature keynote addresses by eminent personalities, a National Leadership Summit, high-level panel discussions, policy dialogues on digital media governance, AI and emerging technology sessions, interactive workshops, editors’ roundtables, startup showcases, networking opportunities and the Swami Vivekananda Digital Journalism Awards 2026, which will honour excellence and innovation in digital journalism.
According to the organising committee, the event seeks to bridge collaboration between government institutions, media organisations, digital news platforms, technology companies, academia, legal experts, civil society organisations, startups and corporate India to develop practical solutions for strengthening the country’s digital information ecosystem.
The conclave is open to journalists, editors, digital publishers, YouTubers, podcasters, fact-checkers, media entrepreneurs, legal professionals, public policy experts, public relations professionals, researchers, technology companies, startups, government institutions and journalism students.
Speaking about the initiative, the organising committee said India is witnessing an unprecedented digital media revolution where innovation must be balanced with ethics, transparency and public trust. The conclave aims to create a national platform where stakeholders from diverse sectors can collectively shape a responsible and future-ready digital journalism ecosystem.
Beyond recognising outstanding contributions through the Digital Journalism Awards, the organisers said the event will encourage institutional collaborations, strategic partnerships, responsible adoption of emerging technologies, policy dialogue, media literacy, digital governance, journalist capacity building and innovation-driven journalism.
