Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar was among the famous faces at Wimbledon on Friday as he was seen enjoying the men’s singles semifinals from Centre Court. During the live television broadcast, the Master Blaster was shown in the stands with the commentators addressing him as “perhaps the greatest batsman of all time.”
Tendulkar enjoyed the match alongside several other special guests at the All England Club. He has now become the regular visitor at the Wimbledon, Tendulkar has also attended the Grand Slam on many occasions over the years, which highlights his love for sports beyond cricket.
Meanwhile, India’s Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill has also received a special honour at this year’s Wimbledon. Gill has been invited to the prestigious Royal Box, becoming only the fourth Indian cricket captain to receive the honour after Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
Shikhar Dhawan and Deepti Sharma were also seen at the Wimbledon this year which highlights the growing connection between Indian cricket and Wimbledon.
