Chennai: Superstar Rajinikanth has once again captured fans’ attention, this time not from a film set but from a family wedding. The actor attended the marriage ceremony of a close relative with his family, and photographs from the celebration have gone viral on social media.
Rajinikanth’s traditional look steals attention
Rajinikanth was seen at the wedding in a simple traditional outfit, wearing a white shirt with a veshti. One photograph, in particular, has delighted fans, showing the Superstar blessing the newlyweds by affectionately pinching their cheeks.
The images have drawn praise for Rajinikanth’s warm and unassuming presence despite his stature as one of Indian cinema’s biggest stars.
Aishwarya Rajinikanth joins family celebration
Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth was also present at the family gathering with her son. She was seen wearing a traditional silk saree alongside other members of the family.
The wedding pictures offered fans a rare glimpse of Rajinikanth away from film promotions, shooting schedules and public appearances, showing him enjoying a personal family moment.
Superstar remains busy with upcoming films
Rajinikanth continues to have a packed professional schedule. After completing important work on Jailer 2, the actor has moved on to Dharman, directed by Ashwath Marimuthu.
Jailer 2, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, is scheduled for release on October 15, 2026, during the Ayudha Pooja festival. The film has already generated interest following the release of its song Ala Bolelo.
Meanwhile, Dharman, an action film produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International, features Simran, Raashii Khanna, Rukmini Vasanth, Yogi Babu and Ram Pothineni alongside Rajinikanth. The film is expected to target a Pongal 2027 release.
For now, however, it is the Superstar’s affectionate family moment and simple traditional appearance that have won the internet’s attention.
