New Delhi, 25th Dec. Congress MP Rajeev Shukla arrived in Belagavi, Karnataka, to attend a significant meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC). Speaking to the media, Shukla highlighted the historical importance of the event, noting that Mahatma Gandhi had once presided over a similar meeting in Belagavi.

“This is a historic meeting as Gandhiji once presided over it. Gandhiji only took one post in his life, and that was that of Congress President,” Shukla remarked, emphasizing the deep-rooted legacy of the Congress party.
The meeting in Belagavi is seen as an opportunity for the party to reconnect with its history while addressing contemporary political challenges. It also underscores Karnataka’s importance in Congress’ roadmap, as the party seeks to strengthen its presence nationwide.
