New Delhi, 12th Sept: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a three-day visit to Mizoram, Manipur, Assam, West Bengal and Bihar from September 13–15 to launch and inaugurate development projects worth more than ₹71,850 crore, including major rail links, airports, power plants and road networks.

September 13 – Mizoram & Manipur
- At Aizawl, PM will lay the foundation and inaugurate projects exceeding ₹9,000 crore across railways, roads, energy and sports.
- He will open the ₹8,070 crore Bairabi–Sairang rail line, giving Mizoram its first direct rail link to the Indian network, and flag off three new express trains including a Sairang–Delhi Rajdhani.
- In Churachandpur and Imphal, Manipur, he will launch projects worth over ₹8,500 crore covering urban roads, drainage upgrades, five National Highway works and new women’s hostels.
September 13–14 – Assam
- Modi will attend the 100th birth anniversary celebrations of cultural icon Dr. Bhupen Hazarika in Guwahati.
- On Sept 14, he will unveil projects worth ₹18,530 crore including Darrang Medical College, the Guwahati Ring Road, Kuruwa–Narengi Bridge and a Bioethanol plant at Numaligarh Refinery, along with a new polypropylene facility.
September 15 – West Bengal & Bihar
- In Kolkata, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the 16th Combined Commanders’ Conference, themed “Year of Reforms – Transforming for the Future.”
- Later in Purnea, Bihar, he will launch the National Makhana Board to promote production and exports of the state’s famed foxnuts. He will also inaugurate the new Purnea airport terminal and lay foundation stones for multiple projects totalling ₹36,000 crore, including the 3×800 MW Pirpainti thermal power project, new rail lines, the Kosi–Mechi river link, and several Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat trains.
The extensive tour underscores the Centre’s focus on boosting connectivity, energy security and economic opportunities across India’s North-East and eastern heartland.
