Prime Minister Narendra Modi has welcomed the international plan aimed at bringing an end to the ongoing conflict in Gaza, describing it as a crucial step toward achieving lasting stability in the region. Stressing the importance of dialogue and mutual trust, he said the proposal reflects a collective resolve to move away from violence and towards a sustainable framework of peace.
The Prime Minister underlined that peace in West Asia is not only vital for the people directly affected but also essential for global security and economic stability. He reiterated India’s consistent position of supporting a two-state solution, emphasizing that both Israel and Palestine must coexist peacefully with secure and recognized borders.
According to Modi, the plan offers a framework that prioritizes humanitarian relief, reconstruction efforts, and political dialogue, ensuring that the voices of affected civilians are not ignored. He pointed out that India has historically stood for peace and development in the region, extending humanitarian aid to Gaza while also maintaining constructive ties with Israel.
Highlighting India’s role as a trusted partner, Modi said that New Delhi remains ready to contribute to rebuilding efforts, capacity development, and people-to-people exchanges that could foster long-term reconciliation. He urged the international community to come together in supporting the implementation of the plan, stating that global cooperation is essential for transforming the fragile ceasefire into a durable peace process.
Calling the development a turning point, the Prime Minister remarked that sustainable peace can only be achieved when violence gives way to dialogue, confrontation yields to cooperation, and the future of the next generation is placed above the conflicts of the present.
