New Delhi, 15th Sept. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday commemorated the legacy of Sir M Visvesvaraya on the occasion of Engineers Day, acknowledging his significant contributions to the field of engineering.

He extended his greetings to engineers across the country, recognizing their role in driving innovation and solving critical challenges in various sectors.
In a message shared on social media platform X, the Prime Minister said, “Engineers Day greetings to all engineers who are driving progress in every field, innovating and solving critical challenges. Remembering Sir M. Visvesvaraya, whose contribution to engineering is widely known.”
Engineers Day is celebrated annually in India on September 15th to honor the birth anniversary of Sir M. Visvesvaraya, regarded as one of the nation’s most eminent engineers.
