No Word On INDIA Bloc Invite, Asaduddin Owaisi To Start Solo Bihar Campaign

Published:

All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi is set to launch his party’s election campaign in Bihar independently, amid uncertainty over any possible invitation from the INDIA bloc. The development signals that Owaisi’s party is preparing to contest alone in the state if alliances with opposition parties fail to materialize.

According to party insiders, Owaisi will begin addressing public meetings and rallies in minority-dominated constituencies, where AIMIM has built a base over the past few years. The Hyderabad MP is expected to highlight issues of representation, minority rights, and social justice, while also questioning both the ruling NDA and the opposition bloc.

Despite speculation, there has been no official communication from the INDIA bloc leadership regarding AIMIM’s inclusion. Leaders of the bloc have maintained silence on the matter, focusing instead on seat-sharing negotiations among existing partners.

Owaisi has previously criticized the opposition coalition for what he describes as “tokenism” towards minorities and accused mainstream parties of neglecting marginalized voices. His decision to go solo in Bihar reflects both political ambition and frustration at being sidelined in larger alliance discussions.

Analysts note that AIMIM’s role could prove significant in closely contested constituencies, potentially impacting the arithmetic of both the NDA and INDIA bloc. While the party may not emerge as a dominant force, its ability to influence margins could shape the outcome in multiple seats.

As the campaign begins, Owaisi is expected to sharpen his attacks on rivals while positioning AIMIM as an independent alternative. With Bihar heading into a high-stakes electoral season, his moves will be closely watched by both allies and adversaries.
