“That will be it…,” Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump announced that he will not run for US Presidency for the fourth consecutive time if he loses the November elections. The former President made the stark revelation in an interview on Sunday, September 22.
Asked if he saw himself running again in four years if he is unsuccessful in his third consecutive bid for the White House, the 78-year-old told Sharyl Attkisson’s “Full Measure” programme, “No, I don’t. I think that will be — that will be it. I don’t see that at all. Hopefully, we will be successful.”
Trump would be 82 in 2028, a year older than President Joe Biden is now.
Trump is competing against Vice President Kamala Harris, who has gained tremendous momentum among the people and has bagged many celebrity endorsements. Even the polls show a close race to the finish line between the two candidates in crucial battleground states.
After President Joe Biden pulled out of the 2024 presidential race after a poor performance in the first presidential debate, Kamala Harris was the front-runner for the job. Harris, a young presidential candidate, had edged over Trump in her first presidential debate and recently proposed a second debate with him, but Trump rejected the proposal.
