The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has initiated a series of User Awareness Sessions to educate company professionals and stakeholders on the process of Annual Filings via the V3 Portal. This initiative is aimed at streamlining the transition to MCA’s upgraded V3 digital platform, ensuring better compliance, and reducing filing errors.

As part of this outreach, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has released a detailed list of venue locations across various cities where the awareness sessions will be held.
What is the V3 Portal?
The MCA V3 Portal represents the latest upgrade in the Ministry’s e-governance system. It integrates advanced features for faster, user-friendly, and transparent corporate filings. It includes modules for company incorporation, filing of financial statements, annual returns, and compliance documentation for companies and LLPs.
The move to V3 is part of the government’s broader vision to digitize and simplify corporate regulatory processes under the “Ease of Doing Business” initiative.
Objective of the Awareness Sessions
The user awareness sessions are designed to:
-
Educate stakeholders on how to use the V3 Portal for various filings.
-
Demonstrate key features and benefits of the updated interface.
-
Resolve frequently faced issues by company secretaries and compliance officers.
-
Provide hands-on support and step-by-step walkthroughs.
These sessions target company secretaries, chartered accountants, legal advisors, and corporate compliance professionals who manage statutory filings for organizations.
ICSI’s Role and Venue List
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), being a key stakeholder in corporate governance education, is actively collaborating with the MCA to organize these sessions. The ICSI has published a state-wise list of venues on its official platform to ensure maximum reach and participation.
Sessions are being held across metros, state capitals, and tier-2 cities to cover a wide demographic of professionals. The initiative is expected to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the annual filing process and reduce delays caused by lack of familiarity with the new system.
Industry Response
Corporate professionals have welcomed the move, calling it timely and necessary, especially with the 2025-26 filing cycle approaching. Experts say this proactive engagement will help companies avoid penalties and ensure smoother submissions under the Companies Act, 2013.
Ritu Mehra, a practicing Company Secretary in Mumbai, said:
“The V3 portal is a major leap forward, but change comes with challenges. These awareness sessions will bridge the knowledge gap and ease the transition.”
