“Khelo India Samvaad – Khel Ki Baat, Pradhan Mantri Ke Saath” will be organised across the country on August 27, on the occasion of National Sports Day.
The programme will bring together young people, athletes and educational institutions at more than 1,500 locations. IITs, IIMs, NITs, AIIMS, premier medical colleges, universities and other leading institutions will participate.
The discussions will focus on four areas: strengthening the sports ecosystem at the grassroots, nurturing talent for the 2036 Olympics, increasing youth participation in leadership and governance, and youth empowerment for Viksit Bharat.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address young people virtually. The programme will also feature a video presentation highlighting the changes in India’s sporting ecosystem over the past 12 years.
After the Prime Minister’s address, programmes will be held at more than 1,500 locations. Leading athletes and medal winners will interact with young participants and speak about their journeys, challenges and experiences.
Members of Parliament, MLAs, Union Ministers, Ministers of State and State Sports Ministers will also take part and seek suggestions from young people on the four themes.
A Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue quiz will also be organised. Young people will be encouraged to register on the MY Bharat Portal to stay connected with the wider youth engagement programme.
