Dubai: The audio, trailer and music launch of the much-awaited Tulu feature film ‘Kajja’ was held in grand style at Fisherman’s Hub, Dubai, on May 31, 2026. Produced under the banner of Sumukha Productions, the event brought together prominent business leaders, community figures, artists and members of the global Tulu diaspora, generating excitement for the upcoming film.
Produced by Vishanth Menezes and directed by the duo Jishnu Menon and Siddharth Shetty, Kajja is being positioned as a significant addition to contemporary Tulu cinema. The Dubai launch marked a major milestone in the film’s promotional journey ahead of its release.

Dignitaries grace the occasion
The event witnessed the presence of several distinguished personalities from the business and community sectors. Among those who attended were Dr. B.R. Shetty, Sarvotham Shetty, James Mendonsa, Vinod Shetty, Divakar Shetty, CA Valerian Dalmaida (News Karnataka), Oswald Rodrigues (CEO, Asyad), Adith Lobo (KCA President, Dubai), Veena D’Silva (Secretary, KCA Dubai) and Vivian of Udyavar Rites.
Their participation reflected the strong support that Tulu cinema continues to receive from the coastal Karnataka community living abroad.

Producer Vishanth Menezes and Loeline Menezes welcomed the gathering and expressed gratitude for the encouragement received from Tulu-speaking audiences across the world.
The event also highlighted the contributions of several Dubai-based artists associated with the project, including Gautham Bangera, Shahin Sheik, Swarna Poojari, Sannidhi Shetty, Rajesh Kuttar, and Shannon, who extended their support to the film.
The programme was elegantly compered by Nikhita, whose lively presentation kept the audience engaged throughout the evening.

The unveiling of the official trailer and music tracks emerged as the highlight of the event. The trailer received enthusiastic applause from the audience, with attendees appreciating its cinematic presentation, visual appeal and storytelling potential.
