The INDIA bloc on Monday unveiled its Bihar election manifesto, titled “Tejashwi Pratigya Pran”, at a public event in Patna, with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav leading the announcement. The manifesto outlines a comprehensive roadmap focused on employment generation, social justice, education, and farmers’ welfare, signaling the coalition’s strategy to challenge the ruling NDA in the upcoming state elections.
Addressing the gathering, Tejashwi Yadav said the manifesto represents the voice of Bihar’s youth and the marginalized. “Our pledge is to rebuild Bihar with jobs, education, and dignity. Every promise in this manifesto is a commitment to the people,” he declared.
The “Tejashwi Pratigya Pran” includes a 10-point agenda, featuring the creation of 10 lakh government jobs, free education for girls up to graduation, loan waivers for small farmers, and expansion of healthcare facilities in rural areas. The manifesto also emphasizes caste census implementation, increased reservation in government jobs, and industrial development to curb migration.
Leaders from the Congress, Left parties, and other INDIA bloc allies were present at the launch, underscoring unity within the opposition alliance. Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge praised the document as “a vision for Bihar’s inclusive growth and social transformation.”
Political analysts say the INDIA bloc’s manifesto is strategically aimed at youth and rural voters, two groups critical to Bihar’s electoral dynamics. The ruling NDA, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, is expected to release its own manifesto later this week.
The Bihar assembly elections are scheduled to take place later this year, with both alliances intensifying their campaigns across the state.
