Pakistan batter Gull Feroza has been officially reprimanded for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct during Pakistan’s Group A clash against Australia in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 on Tuesday.

The International Cricket Council confirmed that Gull was found guilty of violating Article 2.2 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to “abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during an International Match.”

The incident took place in the second over of Pakistan’s innings. After being dismissed, Gull reacted angrily and threw her bat and gloves near the team dugout. The act was deemed a breach of the Code, leading to disciplinary action from the ICC.

Along with the official reprimand, one demerit point has been added to Gull’s disciplinary record. This is her first offence in a 24-month period.

Gull accepted the sanction proposed by Michell Pereira of the Emirates ICC International Panel of Match Referees, which meant there was no need for a formal hearing. The charge was levelled by on-field umpires Sue Redfern and Vrinda Rathi, third umpire Jacquline Williams and fourth umpire Shathira Jakir Jesy.

As per ICC regulations, Level 1 breaches carry a minimum sanction of an official reprimand, while the maximum penalty can be 50 per cent of a player’s match fee and one or two demerit points.

The reprimand comes as another setback for Pakistan in a tournament where discipline and composure remain crucial, especially in high-pressure fixtures against top opposition.
