In a beautiful blend of traditions, the Shiv Shakti Ganesh Utsav Samiti of HSCL Colony, Ruabandha, Bhilai in the mineral rich state of Chhatisgarh in India .The idol has captivated devotees this year with a one-of-a-kind Ganesh pandal. The centerpiece is a unique Ganesh murti sculpted in the style and form of Lord Jagannath, symbolizing a fusion of regional cultures and devotional practices.

Adding to the spiritual grandeur, the pandal hosted a spectacular ‘108 Bhog’ ceremony, in which 108 different food items were offered to the deity. Traditionally associated with Lord Krishna, the ritual was chosen here as a gesture of complete and heartfelt offering, emphasizing inclusivity in worship.

After the puja and aarti, the blessed offerings were distributed as prasad among the large gathering of devotees. The event not only showcased Bhilai’s strong community spirit but also created a memorable celebration, blending devotion with cultural innovation.

This year’s Jagannath-inspired Ganesh idol and the grand ‘108 Bhog’ highlight how India’s festivals continue to evolve while preserving their essence of faith, togetherness, and joy.
