New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is set to embark on a six-day visit to the United Kingdom and Ireland from March 4 to 9, aiming to strengthen diplomatic ties and enhance bilateral cooperation in key sectors.

EAM Jaishankar’s visit to the United Kingdom comes as part of the ongoing Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two nations, which has expanded across various domains, including defence, security, trade, economy, health, and education.
During his stay, he is scheduled to hold discussions with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy and engage with several other high-ranking officials. His itinerary also includes interactions with the Indian diaspora, underscoring the strong people-to-people ties between the two nations.

Jaishankar will then travel to Ireland on March 6-7, marking an important step in bolstering diplomatic relations with the country. India and Ireland share warm bilateral ties, rooted in democratic values, cultural connections, and expanding economic cooperation.
During his visit, he will meet Irish Foreign Minister Simon Harris, along with other key dignitaries. He will also engage with the Indian community in Ireland, reflecting India’s focus on fostering deeper cultural and economic partnerships.
