Three IPL franchises will soon set the wheels in motion for the 2027 season, with Delhi Capitals, Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad scheduling fitness camps over the coming weeks as part of their early preparations.
Delhi Capitals will begin their camp in early August, while Chennai Super Kings have asked their players in three-day slots convenient for them. Sunrisers Hyderabad will hold their camp on 6 and 7 August.
Beyond fitness assessments and conditioning work, the camps are expected to play an important role in shaping each franchise’s plans for IPL 2027. The sessions will give team managements an opportunity to evaluate players up close, assess their physical readiness and identify the core group around which they intend to build their squads for the upcoming season.
With planning already underway and some trades done, the camps are set to provide the first indications of each franchise’s long-term strategy ahead of IPL 2027.
