India continued their impressive performance at the ISSF Junior World Championship 2026 in Suhl, Germany, with Anvii Rathod securing a bronze medal in the women’s 10m air rifle event on Saturday.

The young Indian shooter finished third in the final with a score of 230.6 which added another medal to India’s 2026 campaign. China’s Zhou Shiqi won the gold medal, while France’s Anceline Brackman claimed silver.

Anvii started strongly and was among the leading shooters in the final during the early stages. Despite slipping in the later rounds, Anvii ensured India continue their medal winning streak on the third day.

Earlier in the qualification round, Anvii impressed everyone with a score of 631.7 to finish third and qualify for the final. Fellow Indian shooter Lavanya Rawat finished fourth with a final score of 209.3.

India, however, had a disappointing outing in the skeet events. Risham Guron was the only Indian shooter to reach the women’s skeet final. She ended her campaign at seventh position. The men’s skeet shooters also struggled as none of the Indian participants advanced to the final.

India is currently at the top of table with four golds, one silver and four bronze.
