Actor and model Shefali Jariwala passed away on Friday in Mumbai at the age of 42. Her body was found at her residence in Andheri’s Golden Rays-Y building and has been sent for postmortem to determine the exact cause of death. While some unconfirmed reports initially suggested cardiac arrest, the police have said the cause remains unclear pending medical examination.

Body Found at Home:
Mumbai Police confirmed that Shefali was found unresponsive in her apartment. She was rushed to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital around 11:15 pm by her husband Parag Tyagi and three others but was declared dead on arrival by the attending doctor.
Hospital and Police Response:
Hospital staff stated that Shefali had no signs of life when she was brought in. A mobile forensic team and Mumbai Police officials visited her apartment on Saturday morning. Her body was later moved to Cooper Hospital for postmortem.
Security Guard’s Statement:
Building security guard Shatrughan Mahato told ANI that he last saw Shefali and her husband on Thursday. He recalled opening the gates for their car around 10–10:15 pm and said he learned of her death only at around 1 am, expressing shock over the news.
Husband’s Reaction:
Parag Tyagi was seen leaving the hospital visibly distraught, attempting to shield his face from cameras. Later, he was spotted at their residential complex along with their pet dog.
Who Was Shefali Jariwala?
Shefali Jariwala rose to fame with her iconic appearance in the early 2000s music video Kaanta Laga at the age of 20. She later gained popularity as a contestant on Bigg Boss Season 13. Her last post on X (formerly Twitter) was a tribute to actor and former partner Sidharth Shukla on his third death anniversary in September 2024. Shukla died of a heart attack in 2021.
