The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has announced that the much-anticipated ACC Rising Stars Tournament will begin on November 14, featuring some of the most promising young cricketers from across Asia. The tournament aims to nurture emerging talent and serve as a platform for future international stars.
Tournament Overview
The ACC Rising Stars Tournament will bring together under-23 teams from leading Asian cricket nations, including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Nepal. Matches will be played across Dubai and Sharjah, with the final scheduled for November 28.
Each team will play a round-robin format, followed by semifinals and a grand finale. The competition is expected to showcase exciting new talent and provide a stepping stone for players eyeing senior national team selection.
Focus on Youth Development
ACC President Jay Shah said in a statement:
“The Rising Stars Tournament is a key part of our vision to build the next generation of Asian cricket. This event will help young cricketers gain valuable international exposure and experience.”
Cricket experts believe the tournament could become a regular fixture in the ACC calendar, complementing existing competitions such as the Asia Cup and the Emerging Teams Cup.
