India’s hospitality industry is preparing for one of its strongest finishes in recent years, as a surge in weddings and corporate gatherings fuels record bookings across the country. According to industry reports, between November and December 2025, India is expected to host more than 4.5 million weddings, driving unprecedented demand for hotels, flights, and local travel services.
Rikant Pittie, CEO of EaseMyTrip, noted that this seasonal spike is reshaping the hospitality landscape. “Between November and December, more than 4.5 million weddings are expected across India, creating a sharp rise in demand for flights, hotels, and local transfers,” he said.
The rise in wedding tourism has led to a significant increase in prices. Average hotel room rates have surged by 10–15% year-on-year, currently ranging between ₹8,000 and ₹10,000 per night. Additionally, leisure and wedding-related bookings have jumped nearly 30%, underscoring the robust appetite for destination celebrations and luxury stays.
Domestic destinations such as Goa, Rajasthan, and Kerala continue to dominate the charts, with royal palaces, beachfront resorts, and heritage properties booked months in advance. On the international front, Thailand, Bali, and the UAE remain the top choices for Indian families seeking extravagant overseas weddings.
Industry experts suggest that the strong wedding and festive demand, coupled with corporate event recovery, could make 2025 one of the best-performing years for India’s hospitality sector. With travel sentiment high and spending confidence strong, hotels across the country are gearing up for a record-breaking close to the year.
