Bhiwani, 19th Aug: The post-mortem report in the high-profile Manisha case in Bhiwani has revealed that the young teacher died from poisoning. The report from Rohtak’s PGIMSR has ruled out both murder and rape as the cause of death.
According to Dr. Kundan Mittal, Medical Superintendent of Rohtak PGIMSR, the post-mortem found traces of poison in the victim’s body. He also clarified that there were no ante-mortem injuries on her body. The injuries on her neck and other parts of her body were caused by wild animals after her death.
Despite the report’s findings, the victim’s family is still protesting and demanding the arrest of those they hold responsible for her death.
The case has been a subject of widespread anger and protests across the state, with political parties also expressing their outrage. The police had earlier confirmed that a suicide note was found in Manisha’s bag.
Haryana State Women’s Commission Chairperson Renu Bhatia expressed sadness over the tragic incident. She stated that while the case has taken a new turn with the finding of the suicide note and the post-mortem report, the commission is in constant contact with the police and will ensure that strict action is taken against anyone found guilty.
