Attorney General Pamela Bondi, in coordination with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), has declassified and made public files about convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his abuse of over 250 underage girls at his homes in New York, Florida, and other locations. The initial set of declassified documents primarily includes information that had been leaked earlier but never formally released by the U.S. government.
Attorney General Bondi stated, “This Department of Justice is fulfilling President Trump’s commitment to transparency by exposing the appalling actions of Jeffrey Epstein and his accomplices. The first batch of released files begins to reveal Epstein’s extensive network and marks the start of long-needed accountability.”
FBI Director Kash Patel remarked, “The FBI is entering a new chapter defined by integrity, accountability, and the unwavering pursuit of justice. There will be no cover-ups, no lost documents, and no stone left unturned. If records have been concealed, we will uncover them and ensure they are fully assessed by the DOJ and made available to the public as they should be. Under my leadership, we will honor our constitutional oath without compromise.”
Initially, Attorney General Bondi had requested the full set of Epstein-related files. While 200 pages of documents were provided, she later learned that thousands of additional pages related to Epstein’s investigation and indictment had not been disclosed. The Attorney General has instructed the FBI to deliver the remaining documents by 8:00 AM on February 28 and has asked Director Patel to investigate why the full request was not met.
The Department is committed to maintaining transparency and will release the remaining files after reviewing and redacting information to safeguard the identities of Epstein’s victims.
