New Delhi,January 7, 2025, Union Home Minister Amit Shah unveiled the BHARATPOL portal in New Delhi on January 7, 2025, marking a significant step toward enhancing India’s global law enforcement collaboration. Developed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the portal is designed to simplify the process for Indian law enforcement agencies to engage with Interpol, particularly for issuing and tracking Red Corner Notices.

The BHARATPOL portal aims to improve efficiency in international policing efforts by providing a centralized digital platform for managing cross-border criminal investigations and extraditions. This initiative underscores India’s commitment to leveraging technology for strengthening its criminal justice system and ensuring swift international cooperation.
At the same event, Amit Shah honored 35 CBI officers with Police Medals for their outstanding contributions to investigative work. Highlighting the importance of integrity and diligence in law enforcement, Shah commended the CBI for its pivotal role in tackling complex cases and maintaining public trust.
The launch of the BHARATPOL portal is expected to bolster India’s efforts in combating transnational crime and foster stronger partnerships with global policing agencies.
