How did they qualify for the tournament?
With an impressive performance in the ACC Women’s Premier Cup 2026, Hong Kong, China earned their qualification. They topped their group with three wins from three games before securing a 41-run win over Japan to book their place in the upcoming Asia Cup. They, however, lost both their semi-final against the UAE and the third-place play-off against Indonesia.

Their last competitive assignment was the Women’s T20 Quadrangular Series in Namibia. They played seven games there, with their last match coming against Tanzania on July 30.
Currently, the team are in Sri Lanka for a preparatory camp ahead of the Asia Cup, playing matches against Sri Lanka A.

- Natasha Miles has played alongside India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur in the past in the Women’s Super League for Lancashire Thunder. “I’ve actually been lucky enough to play with Harmanpreet Kaur many years ago. She came over to England when I was on the staff with the Lancashire Thunder during the Women’s Super League. So I played with her. It’s quite nice to sort of meet her on the international stage,” Miles said in an exclusive interview with RevSportz.
- There are only seven bowlers so far in Women’s T20Is who have picked up 150 or more wickets. The 29-year-old left-arm wrist-spinner from Hong Kong, China, Kary Chan, is one of them, with 151 wickets to her name in 114 T20Is so far.
- In an exclusive interview with RevSportz, Kary revealed that she began her career as a left-arm pacer, but a dislocated shoulder injury changed her path and she eventually became a left-arm wrist-spinner. “There is a funny story behind it though. Like, I used to be a left-arm pacer. But because I dislocated my shoulder, then I had to change to become a spinner. So, I had to settle as a spinner, so I just kept working hard, especially like how to pitch the ball in the right area and I just kept repeating it.”
