St Aloysius University Invites Applications for Konkani Pratibha Certificate Courses

Mangaluru: St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, has invited applications for its Konkani Pratibha I & II Certificate Courses in Konkani Language and Cultural Studies. The courses, offered by the Institute of Konkani under the School of Languages and Cultural Studies, are designed to promote the Konkani language and preserve its rich cultural heritage.

The programme is open to undergraduate students as well as members of the general public who wish to learn the Konkani language and deepen their understanding of Konkani culture and traditions.

Two-level certificate programme

The certificate programme is offered in two levels—Konkani Pratibha I and Konkani Pratibha II. Each level is conducted over a period of six months (one semester) and consists of 30 hours of instruction delivered through a hybrid mode, combining classroom sessions with online learning.

Candidates who successfully complete Konkani Pratibha I will be eligible to enrol for Konkani Pratibha II.

AI-enabled learning with flexible script options

One of the highlights of the programme is its AI-empowered syllabus, designed to make language learning more interactive and accessible. Participants can choose to study Konkani in Roman, Devanagari, or Kannada script, providing flexibility to learners from different linguistic backgrounds.

The blended learning model includes periodic online classes alongside face-to-face sessions, enabling students and working professionals to pursue the course conveniently.

Eligibility, fee and application details

Applicants must have passed PUC or an equivalent examination to be eligible for admission.

The course fee is ₹500 per level, making the programme affordable for a wide range of learners.

Applications for Konkani Pratibha I are open until July 31, 2026.
