Sai Sudharsan has scored an unbeaten century to help India A post 247/1 at stumps on Day 2 of the second unofficial Test against Sri Lanka A in Galle on Friday.
Against Sri Lanks A’s first-innings total of 366, India A got off to a solid start. Sai remained unbeaten on 104 off 184 balls, including 13 boundaries. He stitched a 66-run opening partnership with Aman Mokhade (38).
Sai then stitched an unbeaten 181-run partnership with Devdutt Padikkal, who also looks set for a century, batting on 94 not out at the end of the day’s play.
Sai has made a strong statement ahead of India’s two-match Test series in Sri Lanka in August. His consistent performance at the top augurs well for the Indian team. The 24-year-old scored 132 in the first innings of the first unofficial Test.
