Lucknow, 23rd June: Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the fire mishap in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, and announced financial assistance for the affected families.
The Prime Minister conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. He said that rescue operations were underway and authorities were extending all possible help to those affected.
An ex-gratia amount of ₹2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) will be provided to the next of kin of each deceased, while the injured will receive ₹50,000, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a post on X.
