India added two more medals to their tally on the fourth day of the ISSF Junior World Championship 2026 in Suhl, Germany. Pritam Kendre won gold in the men’s 10m air rifle event, while the women’s 25m pistol team secured bronze.
Pritam delivered an outstanding performance in the final, scoring 251.3 to claim the gold medal. He finished ahead of neutral athlete Timofei Aleinikov and Norway’s Jens Oestli.
Piyush Sharma also reached the final after finishing third in the qualification round with a score of 629.0. However, he narrowly missed out on a podium finish, falling short by just 0.1 points to finish fourth.
India’s team event campaign was affected after Abhinav Shaw was disqualified because his equipment did not meet ISSF regulations. Following his disqualification, India did not feature in the team standings despite strong performances from Pritam and DivyanshuDewangan.
The second medal of the day came in the women’s 25m pistol team event. The Indian trio of Anjali Bhagwat, Parisha Gupta and Nithila Christopher claimed bronze with a score of 1713-43x.
Anjali was also the only Indian shooter to reach the individual final after placing seventh in qualification. She eventually finished sixth after losing a shoot-off during the elimination stage.
India now have a total of 11 medals, including five golds, and currently sit at the top of the table, highlighting their dominance at the event.
