The Mumbai Cricket Association president Ajinkya Naik has congratulated Maratha Royals for winning the T20 Mumbai League 2026, while giving a vote of thanks to everyone who contributed to making the tournament a success.
From June 1 to 13, the tournament was played at Wankhede Stadium, and it captured fans’ imagination. A turnout of more than 31,000 witnessed the final between Maratha Royals and Arcs Andheri on Sunday, and this season also saw the introduction of the Women’s T20 League. Mumbai Falcons won the title in the women’s league in the inaugural edition.
“Thank you to everyone who made this season a grand success,” Naik said in a statement. “Through teamwork, passion and commitment, we showcased a league that Mumbai can be proud of — proudly recognised as the No. 1 domestic T20 league in India.”
Naik thanked his colleagues and the people related to the tournament, saying: “My sincere thanks to T20 Mumbai League chairman Rajdip Gupta, the Apex Council, Governing Council members, cricketers, club secretaries, MCA staff, Mumbai Police, MCGM, government authorities, volunteers, and every individual who contributed behind the scenes.”
He signed off by tipping his hat to the fans, as he said: “And to the Mumbai fans — thank you for turning up in such large numbers and making Wankhede come alive. Your incredible support and energy made this tournament truly memorable.”
