Leksa Lighting was honored with the prestigious “Best Innovation in Lighting Technologies” award at the PALM Light & Sound Awards 2026. The award, presented in the AV Lighting category, recognized the company’s outstanding innovation and excellence in professional lighting solutions.
During the award presentation, Leksa Lighting was lauded as a true champion of Indian indigenous manufacturing. The company operates a massive 80,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Mangaluru, complete with advanced in-house laboratories, dedicated research and development (R&D), and comprehensive testing capabilities. Leksa boasts an impressive global portfolio of over 800 landmark projects, providing lighting solutions for iconic structures such as the Vidhana Soudha, Rashtrapati Bhavan, and the National Stock Exchange.
Accepting the award on behalf of the company, Founder Mr. Ronald Silvan D’Souza delivered an inspiring speech reflecting on Leksa’s journey. Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of industrializing every village in India, D’Souza started the company eight years ago with just two employees.
“In just eight years, we have done more than 800 projects. Out of them, three were inaugurated by our respected Prime Minister, and a dozen of projects are inaugurated by the CMs of the various states,” D’Souza stated.
He strongly emphasized the company’s commitment to domestic production. “Leksa is more than ‘Make in India’; it is ‘Made in India’ because 85 to 90% of our products are completely designed, developed, and made in India,” he added.
Looking to the future, D’Souza outlined Leksa Lighting’s ambitious global expansion plans. The company has already established a presence in Thailand and is currently expanding into Canada, moving steadily toward its goal of becoming a globally recognized brand.
