Stayed at Hilton, no metal detectors: How suspect slipped past security, carried out shooting at WH Correspondents’ Dinner

An armed man breached security at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, exchanging fire with law enforcement before being apprehended. Investigators believe gaps in outer security layers allowed the suspect, staying at the hotel, to approach the event. He was tackled by Secret Service agents near a checkpoint.
