‘Slandered all’: Tim Walz hits back at Trump’s Somalis ‘garbage’ remark, calls it ‘unprecedented’

Minnesota governor Tim Walz condemned President Trump’s remarks calling the state’s Somali community “garbage” and Minnesota a “hellhole.” Trump’s comments followed claims of fraud reaching al-Shabab and preceded the termination of Temporary Protected Status for Somalis. Republican leaders in Minnesota declined to join Walz in condemning the president.
