South Delhi Police Nab Driver in High-Value Theft Case
Delhi Police have arrested a domestic driver accused of robbing his employer in South Delhi and recovering jewellery and luxury watches worth several crores from his possession. The case came to light after the employer lodged a complaint stating that valuable items had gone missing from the residence, raising suspicion on the driver who had been working with the family for several months.
According to police officials, the accused took advantage of the employer’s absence from home and executed the theft with prior planning. After fleeing with the valuables, the driver reportedly attempted to hide the stolen items at multiple locations to avoid detection.
Following a swift investigation and technical surveillance, the police traced the suspect and apprehended him. The recovered items include high-end watches, gold jewellery, and other valuables, collectively valued in crores. Authorities said that the theft appeared to be motivated by financial greed, and the driver had no prior criminal record.
Police have initiated further investigation to determine if any accomplices were involved or if the stolen items were intended to be sold through illegal channels. The accused has been booked under relevant sections of the IPC, and legal proceedings are underway.
